hits a record
high in March.
- The Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections clocked ₹1.06 lakh crore in March 2019.
- This is the highest in the history of the tax in India.
- Fourth time monthly collections have crossed ₹1 lakh crore this year.
- According to official data released on Monday, Average monthly collections for the year stand at ₹98,114 crore, 9.2% higher than the average for 2017-18.
2. Jet fuel price up by 1%, LPG cost goes up by ₹5
- Jet fuel price was hiked by over 1 %,
- The second straight monthly increase.
- The price of aviation turbine fuel was hiked by ₹677.1 per kilolitre, or 1.07%, to ₹63,472.22 per kl. - The price of nonsubsidised cooking gas was increased by ₹5 per 14.2 kg cylinder. It now costs ₹706.50 in capital.
3. Hyundai unveils BlueLink connectivity in India
- South Korean carmaker Hyundai will soon roll out the ‘BlueLink’ connectivity feature in India
- This will allow users to interact with their cars using voice, while enabling them to remotely switch on/off the car or its AC.
- This feature will be first introduced in its upcoming compact SUV Venue.
- The feature is powered by an “inbuilt and tamperproof device” with a VodafoneIdea eSim and a cloudbased voice recognition platform
- It currently supports ‘Indian English’ language,”
- In case BlueLink is unable to find a 4G network, it will automatically look for 3G or 2G networks, whichever is available.
